Hello, hello, hello! I’m Mafe.
I’ve loved teaching since I was a kid. Growing up with a mom in education, I developed a passion for learning and sharing.
My teaching journey began in 2019 when I moved to Germany, worked as an au pair, and tutored English—discovering how rewarding it is to see students grow confident and skilled.
Speaking two of the world’s most widely used languages has opened many doors for me. With over five years of teaching experience, mainly in Barcelona, I’ve worked with students of all ages in various settings.
For the little ones, we make classes fun and engaging through interactive methods like projects, crafts, and games. I do not teach at you; I teach with you.
With me, all the hard work has already been done for you. All you need to bring is participation, keenness, and an open mind, and together we will make learning English an enjoyable and rewarding journey.

Q1: What qualifications do you hold?
A: I have a TEFL certification and years of experience, and I'm constantly training every week to be the best I can be.
Q2: What kind of English do you teach?
A: Real, practical, everyday English. Conversation, fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary, cultural fluency, idioms, and English for people navigating life in a new country or travelling for work or studies.
Q3: How do you teach?
A: Through stories and real conversations. Everything is contextual. Every lesson has a purpose and you'll always leave knowing exactly why what you learned matters.
Q4: Do you teach online or in person?
A: Both! I teach online to students everywhere and in person locally. If you're based in Barcelona get in touch and we can figure something out.
Q5: Do you offer group classes?
A: Yes! If you and a friend or family member want to learn together that's totally possible. Group classes are no more than three students so it still feels personal even if it's not one on one.
Q6: Do you teach children?
A: I work with younger learners locally. If you're based nearby and looking for something for your child get in touch.
